And just like that holiday season has come and gone. Everyone is busy now preparing for their 2016 goals. But for the country’s number one carmaker Toyota, the yuletide season has just begun. Aside from hosting their yearly celebration of Thanksgiving (Christmas) party for the media (which is done every January), Toyota PH will celebrate its biggest banner for 2016 as they unveiled two of their IMV (Innovative International Multi-purpose Vehicles) models: the all-new Toyota Fortuner and Innova.

Yes, that’s right! This coming January 14, we will witnessed the much-anticipated launch of the new Fortuner (which will compete against the Ford Everest and the highly publicized Mitsubishi Montero) and Toyota’s best-selling commercial vehicle, the Innova.

We found out that the new generation Fortuner will not retained its powerful 3.0-liter engine. Instead, the Japanese carmaker will be selling 2 variants for their diesel engines: 2.4-liter (for entry level) and 2.8-liter common-rail turbo diesel (top-of-the-line variant). Meanwhile, gasoline is still available as an alternative option.

We are sure that this news (which widely circulated all over the Internet) is not new anymore especially to all Toyota purists. Rest assured, we are giving you our thoughts and review about the 2 vehicles sooner.
