The Pilot is considered as the second most expensive vehicle that Honda is selling today in the country. Priced at P3.380 million, the Honda Pilot is like a reincarnation of a bigger version of the CR-V with more bulkier and aggressive body.

Completing its sophisticated look are the 18-inch alloy wheels, LED projector type headlight with signature daytime running lights, LED tail lights, and its distinctive character lines.

As always, Honda is pushing a lot of more effort on the advanced technology system which include the Smart Entry System, that utilizes a Smart Key with multiple functionalities such as Remote Control Engine Start and Power Tailgate Operation.

From its boxy-appearance, the 3rd generation Pilot is like a total makeover with abundant usage of soft-touch materials, sophisticated black leather, and ambient lighting throughout the cabin.

Inside, there’s an 8-inch touchscreen display audio interface which powered by a new Android based operating system and more powerful processor. Advanced features, such as Bluetooth, HDMI, USB Connectivity and 7 Speakers also fully extend to the front-line quality of the cockpit’s numerous functions. At the rear passengers, there is a 9-inch Entertainment System with DVD and HDMI capability available for in-transit entertainment needs.

Dashboard of the new Pilot

The Honda Pilot can fit 8 passenger with 60-40 split second row seat that allows for maximum passenger comfort.

Power has never been compromised. It is equipped with 3.5-liter Direct Injection i-VTEC V6 engine with Variable Cylinder Management (VCM) that can delivers a power output of 284 ps.

What’s amazing about this car is that Honda injected a new Intelligent Variable Torque Management (i-VTM4), an All Wheel Drive system with torque-vectoring function that can apportion torque across the rear axle to aid cornering. This helps deliver more dynamic handling that provides confident, efficient, and dynamic all-weather performance.

There is no problem when it comes to safety. The Pilot is equipped with ABS, side airbag curtains, hill start assist, vehicle stability assist, blind spot information system, and tire pressure monitoring system.

Although, the biggest question still remains. With all these load features of technology and total makeover that Honda puts in the Pilot, can the new Pilot gain the trust again of the buying public? Well, let’s just wait and see.
