25 years is quite a long journey for a car. In the PH auto industry, only few nameplates can proudly proclaim that they survived and still is present in this era. One of them is Honda’s iconic car, the Civic.

Launched in 1991, the Honda Civic is truly a popular choice among Filipino car buyers. Last night, Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) proves yet again why their beloved sedan deserves to stay long in the PH auto industry with the rebirth of the much-awaited all-new Honda Civic.

BOLDER and BETTER

Now on its 10th generation, the new Civic points at a new clearer direction. Its new sheet metal body sets the Civic aesthetic a notch higher. Compared to its predecessors, the new Civic has a more aggressive style inspired by the “Revolutionary Silhouette Advanced Neo Sedan” exterior design concept.

The real game-changer is its body. Honda engineers put a lot of effort in combining sports and functionality that will certainly get the nod of approval from today’s practical yet discriminating buyers. Its unique sporty look comes from the new front fenders with sleeker and sharply defined body lines that give the car a coupe-like stance.

Honda generously peppers it’s top-of-the-line RS Turbo variant with classy features that include 17-inch alloy wheels, gloss black front grille, chrome door handles, wing type trunk spoiler, LED fog lights and RS emblem.

BRUTE POWER

Honda came out with 2 options for the Civic’s engine—the 1.8-liter and the 1.5-liter RS Turbo variant. Both engines are mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) developed under Earth Dreams technology. The RS Turbo is also equipped with paddle shifters for a sportier driving performance.
