Online Car Platform Carmudi announced yesterday that the company is strengthening its presence into brand new cars by coming up with new service offerings for both the buyers and the dealerships.

Juan Gregorio Syquia, Chief Operating Officer of Carmudi Philippines, said, “The move guaranteeing the lowest-priced offers on brand new vehicles is very timely for both buyers and car dealers.”

Syquia explained, “That the appealing price to buyers would go hand-in-hand with their new offerings and would be a great addition to their used vehicle market that the platform is known for.

“Part of the car dealers marketing efforts is to tap lead generators such as Carmudi Philippines as advance marketing strategy. We gain car dealers as clients due to the brand success here as well as on the other parts of the globe. Our efficacy of generating leads to the appropriate target market has been known and we are happy we could help them out, added Syquia.

He also said that their effectiveness to provide real, quality leads could provide notable information to buyers, giving them a more informed choice, apart from the guaranteed lowest price in the market.

In his press statement in Cebu, Syquia added that “The lowest price guaranteed deals are not designed as promotional gimmick. The lowest price guaranteed campaign will be injected as a lifetime promo for new cars. We will give them the best pricing ever for the vehicle of their choice.”

Syquia made the statement following the 26.5-percent increase in year-to-date sales for the first 7 months of the year, after selling 197,448 units compared to 156,034 units.

Despite a minor slowdown in June sales, the local automotive scene has continued to reach another set of milestone figures, onward to accomplishing a steady increase on their year-to-date sales and reflected a stellar July month-on-month figures with the 22-percent rise,” added Syquia.

The joint Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) report stated that upon welcoming the third quarter, industry sales has reached 197,448 units— a 26.5-percent increase over 156,034 obtained for the same period last year.

On that figures, the commercial vehicle segment —which holds 62.63-percent of the market reflected a 32.9 percent upsurge, from 93,035 in January to July 2015 to 123,658 for the same period this year.

Syquia said that with the sales trend, the robust economy that the country is enjoying and attractive deals, alongside the widespread use of the internet, the Philippine automotive market is ready to overtake last year’s figures.

Despite of negative news about online car selling and buying in the PH, the company remained confident in its platform especially that Carmudi takes great measures in protecting all its users.

“We place a high priority on quality and trustworthy listings. For each car dealer, a dedicated account manager verifies each and every car through personal visits. We then have a quality control department which verifies all the technical details and contact information of the seller before a vehicle is advertised online. Carmudi values strong customer relationships, which can only be established through trust,” adds Syquia.
