They say “a picture is worth a thousand words.” The moment you click your cameras or mobile device photos, you are building an archive memories of your life.

Sony Philippines knows how important to build and share memories with your family and friends as they create a #HappyWithSony online photo contest. The contest encourages consumers to take a trip down memory lane, capture their oldest Sony Entertainment systems and share how their favorite Sony products helped them create memories that they love going back to time and again.

The positive response to #HappyWithSony Campaign does not come as a surprise as Filipinos are known to be sentimental. Many dug through their treasured keepsakes to join the contest. The ones who could not join because they no longer have a photo of the product still shared their stories. With over 900 entries, Sony has finally selected and awarded the winners of the contest.

Nobuyoshi Otake, President and Managing Director of Sony Philippines, said, “We were amazed with all the entries we’ve received and this gave us a peek into how Filipino families treasure what is close to their hearts whether it’s their old TV sets or their stereo system that has made their lives fun, memorable and exciting growing up. We aim to continue to bring families and friends closer together through our innovations.”

The grand prize winner is Dra. Ignacia Alegre, an antique collector, shared a photo of her forty year old Sony TV set. Meanwhile, Ferdinand Angeles and Jo Rain Lee Pyo took second and third place.

Other winners of the contest include Inggoh Simon-King; Reen Kay; Johndale Grace Mendez; Sophia Marie Barellano; Richard Santos; Jheanna Nungay; and Karlo Palmero Miro. Each received select products from Sony ranging from MHC-V11, MHC-ECL7D, GTK-XB7, MHC-V44D and the Shake X7 audio product.
