In his press statement, Michael Ngan, Country General Manager of Lenovo Philippines, said, “Lenovo Legion is dedicated to our community of gamers, and their passion for gamin.”

“By introducing Legion through this gaming convention, we hope to grow such a community – where local gamers can support each other in the world of gaming, and improve camaraderie online,” explained Ngan.

Meet the Legions

Meet the Legion Y520. It’s Lenovo’s entry-level gaming laptop. It runs with the latest 7th gen Kaby Lake processors from Intel with NVIDIA GTX 1050/1050Ti graphics card. Games can be displayed in crisp 1080p or 1440p quality.

Sound quality is another story. The Y520 is equipped with Dolby Premium technology projected through Harman-certified speakers. What makes this laptop unique is the Nerve Sense feature that allows one to easily customize various settings with less effort. How does it works? Through the Nerve Sense, you can adjust the keyboard lighting, disable the touchpad and other unnecessary keys for playing, and control the sound settings. There’s also extreme cooling feature to Nerve Sense which allows one to adjust cooling systems with just a few clicks. For livestream gaming sessions, the Nerve Sense can be integrated into their social media accounts or record their gameplay and upload them at another time.

Additionally, its NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU also allows for 4K resolution gaming.

Design-wise, the IdeaCentre Y710 Cube is small, yet mighty. The case is decked in various shades of matte grey plastic, and a three-pronged front edge with lines that glow through external LED lights. The Cube weighs only 7.4 kilograms, and has a tower that’s approximately the size of a standard laptop at 15.48 inches long.
