Online Car Platform Carmudi recently speed up into victory after finishing podium style in their respective divisions when they participated in the Round 1 of the 2017 Flat Out Race Series (FORS) held at the Batangas Racing Circuit (BRC).

The team, which composed of Francisco “Pacho” Blanco, Carmudi Magazine Philippines Technical Editor, together with Polo Bautista, Ron Catindig and Peter Amiel del Mundo, were managed by Kris Lim, Carmudi Philippines PR and Marketing Head.

Catindig bagged the first-place Division F with the best time of 02:08:079, while Bautista finished second place in Grid C with 2:00.133, less than a second away from grid leader, Sherwin Bagos.

Meanwhile, veteran race car driver Blanco placed sixth in Bracket G with the best time of 02:20.746.

During the kick-off of these year’s race series, Blanco gave timely and needed instructions to the racers, who have also been joining motor sport events held in the country.

Lim who was present at the event, said that the win was well-deserved. “It was a tall task to make as they have to compete racing novices, but they managed to make the cut for the podium finishes,” Lim said.

“We are still on the stage of building better team, but I’m quite happy about the results. Building this pool of talents was clearly a good move for Carmudi Philippines. They simply represent the business that Carmudi has brought in the country,” he claimed.

Flat Out Race Series (FORS) is the country’s premier grassroots motor sports event “made for racers, by racers.” Founded by the late race car driver Enzo Pastor, FORS is a program that developed potential race car drivers through grassroots events.

The Round 2 of FORS is scheduled on April 1 at the Batangas Racing Circuit.
