Despite of the approved excise tax for vehicle next year, German car brand BMW is sticking to its formula in selling more cars in the country. The recent launched of the all-new BMW 5 Series is a proof that the car brand plans to stay for long in the luxury segment.

 

Dubbed as the “Ultimate Sports-Business Machine”, the all-new BMW 5 Series is the seventh generation of the most progressive sports-business sedan, which sold 7 million units globally.

Outside, the car has been further enhanced with a keen eye for detail and a clear sense of direction regarding dynamism and precision. New exterior features include Active Air Stream Kidney Grille with Adaptive LED Headlightscharacter lines on the side up to rearwards highlighting the Hofmeister Kink, which is a signature design element of every BMW vehicle.

As per interior, boys from BMW carefully designed and selected a sense of sight, smell, and touch of its interiors. The quality of the interior is further improved from the predecessor with the finest materials used throughout the cabin. Leather Dakota upholstery comes as standard, and the range-topping 530d Luxury includes Leather Nappa. Good news is the rear passenger space has also been greatly improved. The knee room is 18mm longer than its predecessor and the seat cushion length is one of the best in its class.

In terms of advanced technology, the all-new BMW 5-Series also features BMW Display Key, which does more than locking and unlocking the vehicle. It can also provide information on the fuel level and turn-on the air-conditioning before the driver enters the car. There is 12.3-inch full digital instrument display which is now standard across all variants. You can also choose display color themes that are relevant to the drive mode; be it Sport, Comfort, or ECO PRO.

You can select from 3 models of the all-new BMW 5 Series. Starting with the 520d which will be offered in Luxury trim and M Sport Package. Both are powered by a 2-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine producing a 190 hp and 400 Nm. The difference lies in the exterior and interior trims. The BMW 520d Luxury is fitted with elegant chrome trimmings, 18-inch wheels, and rear passenger roller sun blinds. The M Sport variant, on the other hand, features a sportier body design, 19-inch alloy wheels, a BMW Head-Up display that projects the driver information on the windshield, and gearshift paddles on the steering wheel. Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line BMW 530d in Luxury variant is powered by a 3-liter BMW TwinPower Turbo diesel engine that produces 265 hp and 620 Nm.

The all-new BMW 520d Luxury is priced at P4.590 million; 520d M Sport at P4.990 million; and the top-of-the-line 530d Luxury at P6.390 million.
