North Trend Marketing Corporation, the exclusive distributor of Maxxis tire brand in the country, is set to unfold its yearly and much-anticipated 4×4 competition: the 2017 MAXXIS NAsFOR 4×4 Cup.

The 2-day competition, which participated by riders from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, will be held on August 12 to 13 at the MAA Off-Road Track Diversion Road in Davao City. The event will test the skills of every off-roaders to play the ground in various levels of difficulties from deep mudpits, V-canals, table tops, and zipper tracks.

Now on its 5th year, the event will coincide with Davao’s annual feast Kadayawan Festival.

 

Maxxis will display two of its indomitable SUV/4×4 product tires—the Maxxis Creepy Crawler M8090 and the Maxxis Trepador M8060.  The Creepy Crawler M8090 boasts of a special construction design which allows the tire to conform to different terrain surfaces. It has a stone ejectors that provides protection against tread cap damage from sharp rocks and its unique multi-edged knob design and sipe arrangement enhances traction on slippery surfaces. Best of all, riders would benefit from the Creepy Crawler’s unparalleled side bite with its large shoulder lugs and sidewall design.

Meanwhile, the Maxxis Trepador  M8060 offers a heavy-duty bias ply construction for excellent durability and tread flexibility. Its multi-curve tread siping improves traction on loose dirt and slippery terrain. It also features a nylon belt-reinforced tire construction which improves puncture resistance and durability.

Top contender for Nasfor-Maxxis Driver of the Year is Bong Collado of Isabela Extreme who has 216 points; followed by JR Bartolome of Manila Atletika with 175 points; and Edison Dungca of Kapampangan Racing Team with 112 points.

The series of race includes in Aurora, Davao, Camarines Sur, Dipolog, Leyte, and Isabela. Next leg will be on Digos (Davao del Sur) on September 2 and 3; Cagayan de Oro on September 16 and 17; Angeles, Pampanga on September 30 and October 1; Lubao, Pampanga on October 7 and 8; Ormoc, Leyte on October 14 and 15; and last leg to conclude in Davao City.
