The first quarter of the year is like a rat-race competition for some car manufacturers. We’ve seen a lot of unveiling lately from the new Nissan Patrol Royal, Nissan Urvan Premium S Van, Nissan Juke N Style, Nissan GT-R Nismo, BMW third-generation X3, Toyota Hilux Conquest, Porsche Panamera Sport Tursimo, Ford Ranger Raptor (regional launch), and of course, the much-anticipated MPV—the Mitsubishi Xpander.
Today, Commercial Vehicle Leader Isuzu has joined the squad by launching their two latest special edition variant—the Isuzu mu-X Luxe and Isuzu D-Max X-Series—at the Solaire Grand Ballroom in Parañaque City.
So what’s new about the mu-X Luxe?
Upon seeing this new variant, it looks like a real cool-dude that gets matured because of the special enhancement that it possess. And what are those? Well, among the niceties are the power lift-tailgate (ideal for soccer mom), light gray fender flares, illuminated interior “mu-X” rocker plates, 3D surround-sound system, and the exclusive red spinel paint.
While the D-Max X-Series looks more sportier than ever; thanks to the new black 18-inch alloy wheels, black front grill that attached to Isuzu red emblem, front and rear skirt, black roof rails, and colored tailgate spoiler.
How about the engine? Both engine is equipped with 3.0-liter (4JJ1-TCX) four-cylinder turbocharged diesel powered by Blue Power technology. This power produces 175 horsepower and 380 Newton meter of torque. Bad news for off-roaders however, as both vehicles are only available on a 4×2 variant, mated to either manual or automatic transmission.
There’s no official statement about its SRP price. Although, we were expecting to get the actual price by next month.
