Legado Motors Inc—the exclusive distributor and importer of GAC Motors in the Philippines—has officially made its public debut today by launching five (5) different models, including its flagship vehicle, the GS8 2.0-liter, at the Metro Tent Convention Center in Metrowalk Complex, Pasig City.

At the helm of Legado Motors Inc is former Ilocos Sur Governor and currently Narvacan town Councilor Luis ‘Chavit’ Singson, who heads the company as Chairman.

The Guangzhou-based company is the first China-brand in the Philippines that sells a notch higher above price from P788,000 (entry level sedan) to P2,880,000 (top-of-the-line multi-purpose vehicle).

GAC Motors is offering five (5) different vehicle variants such as the GA4 Sedan (1.3-liter Gas Turbo 6-Speed AT/1.5-liter Gas manual transmission), GA8 Sedan (2.0-liter Gas Turbo 6-Speed A/T GL/2.0-liter Gas Turbo 6-Speed A/T GE), GS4 5-Seater SUV (1.5-liter Turbo 6-Speed AT), GS8 7-Seater (2.0-liter Turbo 6-Speed AT 4×4/2.0-liter Turbo 6-Speed AT 4×2), and GM8 7-Seater MPV (2.0-liter Turbo 6-Speed AT).

As we inspect their vehicles, we find it way different compared to some China-brand products that offers cheaper and clone-like features. No offense to some China-brand company, but quality for GAC is somehow an understatement.

Globally, GAC Motors is known for its Honda-branded joint venture production and sells passenger cars under Trumpchi brand. It’s one of the reason we saw some Trumpchi brand in the GAC five cars.

Here are the price list of GAC Motors:

GA4 Sedan – P788,000 (1.5-liter); P988,000 (1.3-liter)

GA8 Sedan – P1,988,000 (2.0-liter GE); P2,288,000 (2.0-liter GE)

GS4 5-Seater SUV P1,188,000 (1.5-liter)

GS8 7-Seater SUV – P1,880,000 (2.0-liter); P2,388,000 (2.0-liter)

GM8 7-Seater MPV – P2,880,000 (2.0-liter)
