JAECOO Philippines’ first hybrid SUV, the J7 SHS (Super Hybrid System), has officially been range-verified by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), clocking in a remarkable 1,488.8 kilometers on a single full tank and full battery charge. This milestone not only surpasses the model’s global claimed range of 1,200 kilometers but also reinforces JAECOO’s mission to deliver sustainable, high-performance vehicles to the Filipino market.

Real Roads, Real Results
Unlike typical eco runs that favor flat and fuel-efficient routes, JAECOO Philippines chose a more demanding path for its AAP-verified efficiency test. The goal: to prove the J7 SHS’ performance in real-world driving scenarios, including steep climbs, long highway stretches, and stop-and-go city traffic.
Two J7 SHS units took on the challenge during a four-day test monitored by the AAP. Starting from Biñan, Laguna in full EV mode, the convoy journeyed through the Northern Loop, covering Ilocos Region, Cagayan, Aurora, and Nueva Ecija. From flat highways to steep mountain roads, the vehicles tackled over 200 kilometers of uphill and downhill terrain—conditions that typically eat into fuel economy.
Even with these road challenges, the J7 SHS delivered an average fuel consumption of 24.4 km/L. One unit logged a final distance of 1,488.8 kilometers, while the second reached 1,480.1 kilometers—both with remaining ranges of 44 km and 24 km, respectively. These numbers aren’t just impressive; they’re proof that the J7 SHS is engineered to excel in Philippine driving conditions.
