Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc, the official distributor and manufacturer of Hyundai vehicles in the country, has recently participated at the first ASEAN Mentorship for Entrepreneurs Network (AMEN) as official mobility partner of the event.

The event is a flagship program of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN BAC) under the Philippine Chairmanship that was launched by President Rodrigo Duterte together with the AMEN Pioneer Mentors last November 2017.  It is designed to facilitate the scaling up of the micro- and small enterprises in the ASEAN region through mentorship. AMEN is the formalized eco-system of regional mentors that aims to facilitate the scaling up of micro and small entrepreneurs through the power of the 3MS for MSME Development: Mentorship, Money and Market.

Hyundai PH presented their formidable H350, Hyundai’s luxe, highly-customizable 14-seater van, to transport the four hundred and fifty mentors from the public and private sectors in the ASEAN region were in attendance.

Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo, President and CEO of Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), said: “The partnership is a testament to our continuous commitment to the purpose of ASEAN, that is, to accelerate growth through enhanced cooperation within the ASEAN community.  We are proud to be part of the ASEAN network–this time, highlighting the role of mentorship in empowering SMEs in the Philippines. True to Hyundai’s vision to enhance people’s lives, this partnership signifies our support for the aspirations of entrepreneurs and, ultimately, of the ASEAN business community.”

The presence of Hyundai in AMEN likewise reflects the Korean automotive giant’s confidence in the country’s buoyant business and investment climate, and in the Philippines as a gateway to regional expansion.
