If you are working 24/7 a day (whether from public or private company), today is your day! The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT-3) is generously giving a FREE rides from 7:00 am to 9:00 am, and from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm to commemorate the 116th celebration of Labor Day in the country.

How to avail the FREE rides? Well, simple. All you need to do is to present your valid Identification Card (ID) in all MRT-3 stations to identify that you are one of the hardworking men and women in the country.

 

To give you a short background, the first Labor Day in the Philippines was celebrated on May 1, 1903, by the Union Obrera Democratica de Filipinas. Later on April 8, 1908, the Philippine Assembly passed a bill to formalized May Labor Day, a national holiday.
