Leading Independent Oil Company Cleanfuel has announced the extension of fuel subsidy assistance until May 15 to the Department of Transportation’s (DOTr) ongoing Free Ride for Health Workers Program.

The move comes in the wake of the announcement of President Rodrigo Duterte to extend the enforcement period of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) in several areas of the country, including the National Capital Region (NCR).

In the agreement, CleanFuel will continue to provide a total of 810 liters of fuel daily for 20 bus units. The fuel subsidy assistance has been in implementation since April 8.

Meanwhile, Transportation Assistant Secretary for Road Transport Steve Pastor has commended the move of CleanFuel, saying its assistance will greatly help bus operators continue to transport health frontliners to their various medical communities.

Pastor expressed.

The oil company added that bus units can fill up their tanks at any Cleanfuel gas station in NCR. To recall, the Free Ride for Health Workers Program has already recorded 395,287 total ridership since the start of its operations on March 18.
