The final championship round of the #RaceForFrontliners ended up with a lot of excitement for the Celebrity Challenge with an unexpected twist.

Tuason Racing together with Phoenix PULSE pioneered the Esports campaign starting April to bring together racing enthusiasts during quarantine and help out different frontliners and Barangays around Metro Manila. After four elimination rounds, the culminating event was made even bigger with more prizes and the Celebrity Challenge.

The Celebrity Challenge grid is composed of Troy Montero, Aubrey Miles, Fabio Ide, Phoemela Baranda, Gaby Dela Merced, Jinno Rufino , Ivan Carapiet, and Arianne Bautista, who are all racing
for their Barangay Beneficiaries. They went head-to-head in the Time Attack Competition, and after a fierce battle, Carapiet and
Montero ended up in the top for the final showdown. Carapiet was able to finish with the best time claiming the Champion title, taking with him P50,000 worth of Family Mart food packages to
be donated to Barangay Western Bicutan. All celebrity racers will also receive P10,000 worth of Family Mart goodies for their own beneficiary communities.

“I am truly happy I got to do what I love while helping people. We have to move forward to evolve. Congratulations to all the competitors and TRS,” said, Celebrity Challenge Champion Ivan Carapiet.

After two semifinal heats, the final Nine qualifiers ran a reverse grid making the competition fiercer. Starting on the pole is Inigo Anton, 2nd Ian Soquila, 3rd Russel Cabrera, 4th Corban
Guerero, 5th Jeff De Vera, 6th Joaquin Garrido, 7th Rabboni Buenaventura, 8th Kevin Puatu, 9th Zio Tantengco. Anton did a lights to flag race with Russel closely behind.

“There will always be someone better than you out there and you should make them your inspiration to be better. I learn a lot from them and I believe that experience, hard work, and practice will always make you a better racer,” explained Iñigo Anton.

The race for frontliners champion was awarded to Iñigo Anton, followed by Russell Cabrera (1st place); and Corban Guerrero (2nd place).

Anton will bring home a new racing simulator rig; decked with OMP Full Bucket Seat, Seven Star Garage Sim Rig Frame, Logitech G29 Wheel, LG HD Television unit, OMP Racing Suit, and
OMP Helmet amounting to more than P150,000. The 2nd Placer won an LG Mini -Sound System. While the 3rd placer will win a P5,000 worth of Phoenix Pulse Fuel.
