In just a few days, we shall witness another launched of china-made multi-purpose vehicle in the Philippine roads. Maxus Philippines, the Ayala-owned distributor of Maxus car brand in the country, has officially confirmed the unveiling of highly-anticipated, Maxus G50.

Last month, the company announced that it planned to bring the MPV G50, which we assumed will directly compete with popular MPV, the Toyota Innova.

The G50, which comes in 7 unique colors—Roland Purple, Polar Ash, Deep Golden, Warm White, Warm Argent, Metal Black, and Water Blue, has been designed dedicated to young Filipino families who are just starting and professionals who take more hauling their daily transport needs.

Outside, most noticeable are the stylished and more matured front bumpers with four types of grille elements and L-type fog lamps. What’s more is that the Maxus G50 has LED headlamps, power folding side mirrors, 17-inch wheels (215/55R17), LED taillights, 360-degrees camera, power lift gate, and lastly, panoramic sunroof. Meanwhile, in the interior department, there are LCD Multi-info display, tire pressure monitoring system, cruise control, power adjustable driver and passenger seats, soft touch leather padded dashboard, traction control and headlight lever, and 12-inch infotainment system with multiple vehicle settings and camera angles. It’s also here to prove that 8 passengers fit comfortably with its spacious 2-3-3 seating configuration and considering social distancing guidelines, 6 passengers can still be accommodated (2 for each row).

Although, the Maxus G50 has three variants, all are powered by the same 1.5-liter turbocharged gas engine with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.

And because it’s a Maxus, the G50’s safety and convenience features are set to the max, with all variants equipped with ESP (Electronic Stability program), EPB (Electronic Parking Brake), Auto Hold, Reverse Camera and Park Distance control, and keyless entry and push start features, not to mention the standard 5-year service warranty.

In terms of price, we don’t have the exact details from Maxus Philippines, but we are estimating it would range from P900,000 to P1.2-million.

With all those attractive features on the G50, this vehicle can certainly be considered as an alternative mobility for Filipino families.
